On the spot training, including demonstrations, practicals, and literature study, on the (advanced) comparative study of pollen morphology and its applications. Special attention will be paid to the phylogenetic analysis and identification of the structural diversity and pollen types, and to functional and evolutionary aspects. Different aperture systems and wall structures will be examined using a number of palynological techniques.
